PLS’s language service professionals are dedicated to serving the community and empowering limited English proficiency individuals.
PLS meets in person all interpreters in order to foster close working relationships with its team members and know who we are sending to our clients.
Our interpreters must work well with persons of all abilities, practice their profession according to the industry code of ethics, and be reliable and punctual. Minimum requirements for contract interpreters are 40 hrs. medical interpreting training (Bridging the Gap (BTG) or equivalent), 2+ years interpreting experience and industry related experience for unique clients.
Our translators must have native fluency in the target language and editors be as equally qualified. They must be detailed oriented, with dedication to accuracy, flow of language, and timeliness of project completion.
Translation certification are required for some projects.
