Philadelphia Language Services is proud to assist low-income families and at-risk children by providing interpretation and translation to families enrolled in government funded preschool programs. Communication with parents is essential to provide access to these preschool programs.

Since 2016 PLS has assisted Montgomery County’s Head Start and Pre K Counts programs by translating parent handbooks and newsletters, family needs assesments and applications in Korean, Arabic, Bengali and Mandarin. In 2020 we began offering video remote report card conferences and presentations in Spanish, Bengali, Arabic and American Sign Language (ASL), and telephonic interpretation in 14 international languages. When the world opened up again in 2022 PLS was pleased to provide in-peron report conferences, staff meetings and meet-and-greets in Urdu, Japanese, Spanish, Arabic and ASL.
